Chew Free Future: Howard students lead prevention efforts abroad

India2

Howard University College of Dentistry continues to expand its global impact through innovative public health initiatives. Under the leadership of Dr. Bridgette Rhodes, students traveled to J.S.S. Dental College and Hospital in India as part of the #ChewFreeFuture campaign, an effort focused on combating the widespread use of chewing tobacco among youth. By engaging in education and prevention, students contributed to a global movement aimed at reducing oral cancer risk and promoting long-term health outcomes. This experience reflects the College’s commitment to preparing future dentists to lead not only in clinical care, but in global health advocacy.
