Endodontics is the branch of dentistry concerned with diseases and injuries of the soft tissues inside a tooth (the dental pulp). The Division of Endodontics is dedicated to the total health care of our patients, with an emphasis on the diagnosis and treatment planning of pulpal and periapical diseases to provide quality endodontic treatment with compassion and professionalism.

Our mission is to graduate students who, upon entering the practice of general dentistry, will demonstrate the standards of competency in diagnosing pulpal and periapical diseases. The student doctor will be able to select treatable cases within their knowledge and skill level and will be capable of treating these diseases according to the standards set forth by the profession, the American Association of Endodontists (AAE), according to the AAE Endodontic Competency White Paper.
