HUCD is Launching Bright Smiles | Give Kids a Smile 2025

The Howard University College of Dentistry is excited to announce its participation in Give Kids A Smile Day, a national initiative dedicated to providing free dental care to children who may not have regular access to oral health services. The event will take place on Thursday, February 20, 2025, from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM at the Howard University College of Dentistry.

Give Kids A Smile Day is part of the American Dental Association’s (ADA) mission to promote early dental care and education for children. Oral health is essential to overall well-being, and untreated dental issues can lead to pain, difficulty eating, and problems in school. Our dedicated dental professionals, including faculty, students, and volunteers, will provide free dental screenings, cleanings, fluoride treatments, and other preventive services to ensure children get the care they need.

Parents and guardians are encouraged to bring their children to this first-come, first-served event. There is no cost for services, and no insurance is required.

This initiative reflects Howard University College of Dentistry’s long-standing commitment to serving the community and addressing disparities in oral health care. Through this event, we aim to create healthier smiles and educate families on the importance of maintaining good oral hygiene habits at an early age.
